Story-driven endings based on how you played.
I’m not talking about just “good ending” or “bad ending” stuff—I mean endings that shift tone, detail, or meaning based on what you did. Whether you helped someone. Whether you rushed. Whether you snooped. Whether you joked too much.
I think endings should feel like a conversation between the game and the player. Not just a result—but a reflection.
In Spaceship Down, I’m building in subtle story variations tied to how you interact with the world. You might not even notice them on a first playthrough—but if you go back, things feel different.
I'm also looking at refitting Howling Woods to incorporate this when I sit down to do v.2
Games that do this well feel alive. They remember you. And I think that’s magic.
